About Open-Source AI Models
Cloud-based or proprietary AI models are technologies that don’t allow users to see how they are coded. They are always ran in proprietary secured corporate servers, and usually their smarter version are locked behind a paywall.
Open source models are different: not only they allow users to see, study and modify how they are made publicly, but they are also executable on local hardware, and guess what? The only limitation blocking open-source models from being intelligent is how powerful your hardware is.
In Method 4’s example, we are using Google’s hardware to ensure that we have very powerful hardware to run almost any AI model we want.
